Apr 6-10 2024. Double Room. Hotel is about 5 mins walk from train station and bus terminal. Can take bus to other parts of Shikoku and mainland. Room is clean, comfortable and spacious compared to mainland. Toilet is bigger too with ample space for toiletries. Toilet seat is auto warm. Bed is of good size. Changing of bed linen is on the 4th day of your stay although you can request for change in between. Room comes with free breakfast. Breakfast spread is quite good - cereal, pastries and local japanese dishes. Think their signature is ginger chicken soup (nice). Can use the spacious breakfast space (which is a library with local books) for your reading, planning or watching videos) There are 3 coin laundry machines on level 2. The hotel is usually busy so it may be a challenge to use the machines. There are eateries around the station or you can walk about 10-15 mins to the shopping/ food street leading to Hirome market/Kochi Castle. Hotel has bikes for rental too.

This hotel was great! Right by Kochi Station, it offers prime location for quick trips to nearby destinations in Shikoku. We went to Aki and Sakawa, and thanks to the close location we literally headed out some 10 or 15 minutes before the train would depart, which is very convenient. The check-in and check-out experience is fully automated, which is interesting but also efficient, as I saw no queues during our week long stay. The breakfast was very good, set in an ample cafe that is turned into a library for the rest of the day, with free coffee and tea so you can get to read comfortably for when it rains all day long. Room was awesome -- spacious, well taken care of, spotless clean, and with an amazing view. Room service was timely and thorough. Would definitely recommend, I will gladly stay here if I ever visit charming Kochi again!

The staff were excellent; friendly, attentive and always happy to help. The courtesy breakfast was plentiful and there was a new delicacy every day. The library cafe was an oasis of air-conditioned tranquillity where you could relax with a bottomless cup of tea or coffee. The rental bikes were a life saver in 38 degrees Celsius heat, but there are only two so be quick and bear in mind that you cannot book in advance as it's first come first serve. Comfort Inn Kochi is a budget hotel with a smile.

A great accommodation option in Kochi, located right next to the train station, not far from the city center (a nice walk) or the castle. Easy to hop on a bus/tram to other attractions. Breakfast simple, yet abundant, usual options (eggs, sausages, rice, salads , cereal, yoghurt etc.). Room spacious for the Japanese standards, clean, comfortable bed, includes all the necessary amenities. A good-size and renovated bathroom. No problem with storing luggage or renting an iron. Staff speaks English.

This hotel is a great choice for business or a traveler. The staff is very helpful, but has limited english, so be patient and understanding. They were considerate to our needs to secure our bikes in a locked area near the parking lot. Next to the lobby is dinning area that when not in use it functions as a library / gathering place and has a beverage service of coffee, tea and water. It was great to use for small group gathering in the afternoon or evening.
